1) Noone care about counting the bodies about animals.
One can't even count human's. Without actual
counting, all accounts on animal bodies are
anedotal.
2) There are all kinds of animals, some of which
may have been killed and buried and never to be
"seen". e.g. rats.
3) Certain animals can easily outlast a human
in adverse situations. Some run faster, some
can fly. Most important, most if not all
can eat the drink things a human cannot.
