I am not sure that it is fair to say "南蛮很少有到teen了不爱吃蔬菜的。" Isn't every kid born to perfer MEAT over veggies? I remember when I was a kid, 家中的长辈 had to make meat wrapped with 青菜 leaves to have me take veggies. And until this day I don't like 青菜帮. But I have met people who only like 青菜帮 and don't like 青菜 leaves. So maybe it is just about acquired tastes.
