Too many "中国的东西" were actually made by
Chinese borrowing out-dated technologies. Chinese
brand is not necessarily Chinese. Like that
shitty car that made every real Chinese look bad
in the world market. If you truely want Chinese brand
to be strong, you shall join the force to criticize
it, not trying to accuse the critics as being
non-patriotic.
Making trash is a waste of resource, taking away
value resources from someone making truely good stuff.
The same logic applies to phony academias.
A problem with current Chinese auto industry is that
it has too much imitation. Everybody seems to benefit
from the short-cut of imitating and copying other
design. Some even borrow directly from dated
foreign designs. This approach is a deadend.
If there is any hope for Chinese auto industry,
innovation and quality is key. South Korean prove
that cheap stuff can be built with quality too.
Unfortunately, too many people, including those
who claim unconditional love on everything Chinese
forget to recognize that no industry can compete
successfully by being simply the cheapest. A few
"economist" may suggest their ideal price model, but
they are nothing more than economic models :)
