the terrorist attacks in GB and Spain, domestic violence in France, and most importantly the unreliablity of Russian oil (Russians are such bullies ;) and other things will make ppl in Europe rethink their policies. And ultimately they are allies. So there is a good chance that Bush gets what he wants. This guy is such a risk taker and this government is definitely the most hawkish one since Reagan.

Of course the battle has multiple fronts. The plunging oil price will dent Iran a lot too.
